Eider Ciaurriz Arrastia is an Industrial PhD Researcher at CNTA in collaboration with the University of Navarra. Her doctoral research focuses on the identification and characterization of novel compounds with potential neuroprotective effects against Alzheimer’s disease using Caenorhabditis elegans and mouse models.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Innovation in Food Processes and Products and two Master's Degrees from the Public University of Navarra, specializing in Health Sciences Research and Biotechnology Research and Innovation. Her research experience spans food technology, cancer biology, microbial pathogenesis, molecular biology, protein characterization, and quality management systems. Prior to starting her PhD, she worked in quality control, food innovation, and biomedical research projects involving breast cancer exosomes and biofilm formation in Salmonella enterica.
